P&E's PROGHCS08 software allows the user to program/reprogram both internal and external flash devices in-circuit, via a P&E BDM interface cable (sold separately). The programmer talks to the processor's Background Debug Mode through one of P&E's hardware interfaces including the Cyclone PRO, BDM Multilink, and USB HCS08/HCS12 Multilink. The Cyclone PRO is recommended for both development and production, while the Multilink cables are recommended only for development.
